2025 marked the 15th anniversary of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). To celebrate, the Department needed an anniversary identity that staff, advocates, and partners could own with pride. The anniversary brand was to become a reflection of MassDOT’s ambition, scale, and collaboration as they embark on their next chapter. Referred to as MassDOT15, the brand is based on the dot, a visual shorthand for the departments acronym, as well as a symbol of a unified workforce that welcomes diverse perspectives. This simple, bold graphic gave way to a modern typographic direction, vibrant color palette, and galvanizing voice that set the tone for a momentous 15 years, and beyond.
